Zach at the track!
Zach has attended multiple 3d print classes, while getting to know more about hobbies and interests, he shared that he had inherited a 1973 Challenger from his father, who had previously been working on restoring its beauty. Although lacking experience in the shop, Zach told rocky it was his goal to finish the classic hot rod. Conveniently, Rocky too had a classic car he wanted to bring back to life, teaming up, Rocky brought Zach to the shop. The 79′ Z28 Camaro holds a special place in Rocky’s heart, as it belonged to his brother, who has since passed away. Understanding the sentimental value of these projects, they decided to start bringing Rocky’s fire breathing monster back to life. Starting from a bare block Rocky and Zach continue to put together the new engine for the Camaro. Wanting to show Zach what it’s like to be up close and personal with a race car they attended a drag race at Kil-Kare racing in Xenia Ohio. Rocky’s good friend, Mark, who has supported the program for years, allowed Zach to start the drag car himself! This Shop class will resume in spring as the weather warms up, becoming an opportunity for other car enthusiasts to join in!
